Getting started
Women's Hoops Fantasy is a simulation game where you can show your ability to build the best teams with players from Liga Femenina Challenge and Liga Femenina Endesa.
You must set up 8-player teams and earn points based on their statistics each round, which determines your position among all participants.
To participate you must have a user account. The organization reserves the right to request data and email verification to continue participating.
The competition runs during the official league season. Team registration remains open for the entire duration of the game.
In My Teams, tap Add Team, type a name for your team and confirm it.
It will start with an initial cash budget and every roster spot empty, ready for you to sign players.
- 1 Liga Femenina Challenge: up to 5 teams per manager, with an initial budget of 3,000,000 €.
- 2 Liga Femenina Endesa: up to 5 teams per manager, with an initial budget of 5,000,000 €.
Each team must be made up of 8 players, distributed like this:
- 2point guards
- 3shooting guards or small forwards
- 3power forwards or centers
Each team has a maximum number of non-European players and a minimum number of players trained in Spain, which vary by competition. Non-European players are marked with a globe icon and players trained in Spain with a Spanish flag.
Each round you can make a limited number of changes to your team (shown on your team's page). The change period closes before the round starts, on a date and time that can vary week to week depending on the real match schedule.
Your team will start with a limited initial budget. Your team's value is the sum of your players' prices plus your cash, and you can see it on your team's page. The more it's worth, the more room you'll have to improve your roster in the Market through each round's changes.
Leagues
Go to My Leagues: you'll see every available league there, not just yours. You can search by name or filter by type (Formula 1 or Conventional).
If you're allowed to join, you'll see a Join button next to the league (or Add another team if you already take part in it with another team of yours).
Tap it, choose which team you want to enter with, and type the league's access code (up to 8 characters) — whoever created the league has to give it to you.
If the code is correct, the league will show up in your My Leagues list.
In My Leagues, tap Create league.
Give it a name and an access code: that code is what you'll share with anyone you want to invite to your league.
Formula 1 System:
Points are shared among the top 11 finishers each matchday (17, 13, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1). The standings are unique to your league and don't necessarily follow the overall standings order.
Conventional System:
Each team's points match the overall standings. A team that wins the overall league will win every conventional league it takes part in. Scoring will be the same across all conventional leagues.
Choose how many teams each participant can have, and which of your own teams you'll play with.
If you check Private league, only participants will be able to see the standings and stats.
Managing your team
Tap your team's card to open its full roster. You'll see your players grouped by position (Guards, Shooting Guards/Forwards, Power Forwards/Centers), along with your team's value, cash and available changes.
Every empty spot shows a Sign. It will take you to the Signings page, already filtered for that position, where you can pick the player you want to sign.
Spots that are already filled show a Remove. Frees up that spot so you can sign another player instead. Only available if you still have changes left for this round.
Each round you get a limited number of changes, shown as X/Y on your team.
If you change your mind, the Undo button restores the players and cash you had when the last round closed, as long as the current round is still open.
While a round is being played you can't sign or remove players, or create teams.
The closing time isn't fixed: it depends on the real match schedule and can change every week. The exact date and time are shown on your team and in the competition listing.
You can follow your team's evolution: Value and Score round by round.
Open your league's Standings and tap the chart icon next to your team.
Scoring and prices
The goal is to be the manager with the highest score at the end of the season.
Each player earns a score in each round played, equal to her game efficiency rating. If her team wins, a 20% bonus is applied (not applicable if the rating is less than or equal to zero). The rating used is the one published by the FEB after games.
If a player does not play a game, she receives 0 points. The team score is the sum of the points of its 8 players (including negatives and bonuses). A weekly score and an accumulated score for the overall ranking are calculated.
Player price evolves throughout the rounds based on their stats. The price depends on their average rating (plus 20% for wins), and the ratio between rating and price varies by competition.
Between rounds, you can sell or sign players at their current market price. The price may vary each round, but it never fluctuates more than 15% from one round to the next, even if a larger change would apply.
Transfers are a way to increase your team’s available cash and aim for higher-value signings.
A player you signed for, say, 500,000€, may be worth 1,000,000€ 4 or 5 rounds later. Try to sign players you think are going to increase in value, since this will increase your team's value and let you exchange them for even better players. Price changes are limited to 15% per round and depend on the player's average rating.
These values are shown in the +15, 0 and -15 columns of the Market and Signings tables. They're the ratings a player needs to reach the maximum price change, or to keep her current price; hover over each column to see the details.
Standings
The organization will publish, among others, the following rankings:
- 1Best score per round
- 2Best score in the overall ranking
- 3Best Value index (team total valuation + cash)
Rankings can be consulted at two levels: overall and regional (by Autonomous Community in Spain, or by country for the rest of participants).
In a specific round ranking, the following criteria apply in order:
- 1Lower spending on transfers that participated in that round (price at the time of signing)
- 2Better position in the overall ranking
- 3Better financial situation (team’s total valuation + cash)
- 4Draw
In the Value ranking:
- 1Best average points per counted round
- 2Best position in the overall ranking
- 3Draw
In the other general rankings:
- 1Best average points per counted round
- 2Best financial situation (team’s total valuation + cash)
- 3Best score removing the worst round
- 4Draw
If a team faces a round with fewer than 8 players, by mistake or deliberately, its score will be reduced by 20 points for each missing player. Players are considered part of the team when signed, regardless of injury or leave. Teams without any signed players do not score until they start competing.
Coaches
This coaching system is only available in Liga Femenina Endesa. Coaches define your Team’s tactics and style of play. They study the opposing team and design the strategy to be used against it. They are one of the Team’s leaders and must make the sporting decisions to achieve the objectives: in our case, earn the BONUS.
Therefore, the Bonus consists only of cash (€75,000) to avoid directly affecting the Ranking. Having a Coach is not mandatory. If you play without a Coach, you simply forgo this Bonus. When you sign a Coach, the Neutral Tactic will automatically be assigned. Until you change it, that will be your Tactic with that Coach. You can change the Coach and the Tactic as many times as you like, as long as the Round is Open. However, remember that changing the Coach resets your Tactic to Neutral.
These tactics are: Neutral, Offensive and Defensive. Each has conditions that your coach’s REAL team must meet. If the conditions of the chosen tactic are met in the game that the coach’s REAL team plays, you will receive the Bonus as a reward for the coach’s good work.
The Neutral Tactic.
To get the bonus with the Neutral Tactic, your coach’s REAL team must: Score between 80% and 120% of its average Points Scored, Grab between 80% and 120% of its average Total Rebounds, and Achieve between 80% and 120% of its average Assists.
The Offensive Tactic.
To get the bonus with the Offensive Tactic, your coach’s REAL team must: Exceed its average Points Scored, Exceed its average Offensive Rebounds, and Exceed its average Assists.
The Defensive Tactic.
To get the bonus with the Defensive Tactic, your coach’s REAL team must: Allow FEWER points than its average Points Allowed, Exceed its average Defensive Rebounds, and Exceed its average Steals.
On the Coaches page you have all the league coaches with their averages, organized by Tactics. In the Neutral Tactic columns you have the 80% and 120% values of their averages, which is the range required to get the Bonus with this Tactic. Note that whichever coach you choose will need to exceed the averages of her own team, i.e., NO coach has an inherent advantage. Once you choose a coach, consider who they play against, whether it’s home or away, and their typical averages, then make your Manager decision.
